Amazon CloudWatch

Introduction

Amazon CloudWatch is a monitoring and observability service built to provide you with data and actionable insights to monitor your applications, respond to system-wide performance changes, optimize resource utilization, and get a unified view of operational health.

Supported actions

For your Amazon CloudWatch account, YAP supports creating log on AWS CloudWatch.

Setup requirements

Before setup, check that you have granted to YAP the permission to send notification to your Amazon CloudWatch account. For this, sign in to Amazon CloudWatch and authorize the permissions requested by YAP.

Connection

Amazon CloudWatch connector is being connected by using access key. This is the simplest way to connect to Amazon CloudWatch. You need to provide the access key of an IAM User in your Amazon CloudWatch system. To learn how to create an IAM User, refer to Amazon documentation.

Under your IAM User, YAP performs operations in your Amazon CloudWatch account. To use the full set of triggers and actions, the IAM user should have list/read/write permission to specific buckets and folders.
